Thanks - I was trying to deploy a WPF app I'd built on 3.5sp1 and it would randomaly crash on client machines - it's this!! How could MS do this to us, by adding this core lib to SP1, and now way to check a machine for SP1 has made clickonce a evil deployment task for us...

Also I found that (under IIS 7) this method simly inserts a line to the web.config files system.webServer/handlers section (instead of system.web/httpHandlers):

It's frustrating that the default option is "On" for that feature, since there's been nothing like that in previous versions. I agree that there should be three different settings, with the default being "Warn".

Though, the coolest thing about those options is the option 4 above that one - "Auto generate change scripts". Now, whenever you make a designer change in MS and save, you're presented with a dialog containing the SQL script used to make the changes you just saved. That is a major help, especially when trying to script out changes from development to production. I wonder what RedGate thinks of that.

In your example, yes
decimal value = 1200.44M;
value.ToString("N2");

Would yeald the same result as my example, but other currencies are not limited to two decimal places in their precision. You should also consider that other cultures handle precision rounding differently.

By using the System.Globalization.NumberFormatInfo class, your sure that the resulting value will match the expected output, just without the currency symbol.

Take my example:
decimal i = 1000m;
Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = new CultureInfo("fr-FR");
Console.WriteLine(i.ToString("c"));
Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = new CultureInfo("es-AR");
Console.WriteLine(i.ToString("c"));

Output:
fr-FR:1 000,00 ?
es-AR:$ 1.000,00

If that doesn't make sense, or requires some additional information, please let me know.

SandCastle will work with the 3.5 framework, in the post I should have clarified that the product runs on the 2.0 Framework CLR, which is shared by 3.0 and 3.5

I would like to use this, but it's not totally clear on how I would use it. We already have the documentation in the source, so I would think that will work.

But, I can't seem to get much useful out of the even the test that comes with Sandcastle.
